This project is made possible by the generous support and sponsorship from Shrub Hill Workshop as well as the organisations, businesses and individuals listed below:

Tiger Arts promoting new and emerging artists
Tiger Arts is a not for profit community based gallery promoting the work of new and emerging artists from the Three Counties. The gallery accepts submissions of a high standard from artists who wish to exhibit their work either as an individual piece within the gallery or through a dedicated exhibition. The gallery will offer artists support in securing funds to run a professional exhibition and where no funds are available from other sources the board will consider funding the artists exhibition either in full or in partnership with the artist.

AIMs on the radio
BBC Hereford and Worcester have been investigating the spending cuts that local councils will be making over the next few years. Art is often seen as one of the easy targets for cuts, but recent interviews with AIMs members show the importance of art in the lives of those coping with and recovering from mental illness.

The interviews with Jayne Gaze and four service users were broadcast on Monday the 1st of March and you can hear the interviews on the BBC Hereford & Worcester website via these links:

Crowds watching the reflections projected exhibition

Reflections Exhibition
'reflections' was a ground-breaking digital exhibition of projected artwork and was possibly the first of its kind in Worcester. The exhibition opened on Monday 26th October and ran until Sunday 1st November. The exhibition was held as part of Worcester’s World Mental Health Day celebrations.

Members of AIMs (Art in Minds) saw their artistic endeavours projected through a large screen in an empty shop window in Worcester High Street, directly above the H & M store. The exhibition was clearly visible to the thousands of shoppers passing below.

On Monday the 26th of October AIMs held a very successful private view at the Lounge @ Hodsons where over 100 guests attended. Artwork from the exhibition is currently being added to the gallery and you can also read comments from those who attended the private view and/or saw the projection.

For making the 'reflections' exhibition possible AIMs would like to express their deepest gratitude to all those involved in the project, especially the following organisations, businesses and individuals:

Art exhibits and football match mark special day
An art exhibition and a football competition helped kick-start a series of events being staged to mark World Mental Health Day.

Shrub Hill Artists 2009 Exhibition

Shrub Hill Artists Exhibition
On the 9th of October a large number of visitors to the private view of The Shrub Hill Artists 2009 exhibition were once again treated to a thought-provoking and emotionally stimulating show of artwork. Students from the University performed a short, but hard-hitting play highlighting the stigma and discrimination too often suffered by people with mental illness.

This exhibition ran until the 20th of November at the Cotswold Gallery, University of Worcester.
