Welcome to Art in Minds Foundation

Supporting adults touched by mental ill-health within Worcestershire to fulfil their potential through creative practice.

Art in Minds Foundation (AIMs) is a registered charity based in Worcester that supports those who have suffered with mental ill health and those affected around them such as carers, and family members. Originally formed as part of the NHS vocational mental health services, we work closely with professionals and other community based organisations supporting adults within the Worcestershire region.

We have over 160 members and since 2004 our artists have been able to develop, share and broaden their creative skills in a supported environment where attending practical arts based workshops, one to one tutorials and participating in exhibiting opportunities, art groups and social events is actively encouraged. Getting involved with the organisation through its volunteering opportunities has helped some of our members re-engage with employment and education, leading to a more fulfilled life.

Our aim is to encourage creativity and social interaction, improve confidence and self esteem whilst reducing the discrimination that people with mental health issues face in everyday life.
